"It's not about the gold..."

LA Miner is a short documentary about Patrick Blankenship, a redneck savant who started mining for gold on the outskirts of Los Angeles not long after contemplating suicide. It follows him up into the mountain, past other prospectors, on a search for gold and the answers to some tough, personal questions.
